My book is here! My children's book for 8-12 year olds, The Salvager's Quest, has been published! I'm so excited I'm almost speechless. I shall be doing readings at bookshops and libraries across Victoria and the book is available to buy on my website, Amazon, Waterstones and all good bookstores, hooray!
I collaborated with fellow Healesville artist, Clare James, on the cover of my latest children's book, The Salvager's Quest, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The cherry on the cake was the painting being selected as part of YAVA Gallery's exhibition, 'Fantasy, Faerie Tales and Myths'. The exhibition is running from the 4th - 11th June at YAVA, yava.org.au

In April I signed a contract with a UK Publishing House who are going to publish my children's book, 'The Salvager's Quest'! This is me hugging my manuscript like it's my third child. Happy, happy days :)
I was privileged to kick start 2022 by mentoring these wonderful people through YAVA's Youth Mentoring Program. We talked about my career and travels, the choices I made - good and bad; the advantages and disadvantages of faking it before you make it; and the impact covid has had on their lives. The conclusion was we have to do what makes us happy, what we're most passionate about, and just brave the instability that that might bring. Can't wait to see what they do next.
I am over the moon that my paintings of native Australian birds and animals are in the beautiful Aegean Designs art gallery in Portsea! Head to the coast to see them this November.
Lockdown is hopefully gone for good and I am so looking forward to having a stall at some wonderful makers markets this Spring and Summer, starting with The Trust Makers' Market at Como House and Garden on Sunday 31st October. If you're in Melbourne come and say hello!

I'm so excited to share with you that I've written a children's book called The Puffanditsup and the Race Against Extinction and it will be displayed in the Yarra Valley Writers Festival exhibition, 'Re: Covered' at YAVA from the 8th July to the 1st August.
